Women's Commissioner of the GIJ-SRC, Miss Farida Yeboah has extolled the competencies of the upcoming Miss Communicator Summit as an opportunity for female students of the institute to explore more in the field of communications where they are receiving training.

The pageant, according to her is a rebrand of what has formerly been known as the 'Face of GIJ'.

Miss Farida Yeboah is the Women's Commissioner of the GIJ-SRC

Speaking in an exclusive interview with campusfylla, she stated that 'Miss Communicator' is a pageantry that focuses on the intellectual development of the participants, sharpening their communications and public speaking skills.

She also spoke about the new price packages winners will be enjoying.

“Every women's commissioner has their own initiatives put in place as well as awards given to the winners, but this time, contestants who win will gain the opportunity to attain a scholarship for the rest of their academic year, cash prizes, products from sponsors and also a trip...”

“After the auditions, sixteen(16) successful contestants would be selected for the next stage... they would go for their portrait photoshoot to groom them for social media trends and votes, adverts for our sponsors and other activities” she said.

She also revealed that since it is a communication school, applicants would be given projects on new media, photojournalism, public relations and other related projects.

The Women's Commissioner  called on all staff and students to be a part of this year's competition.

First auditions for the 2021 edition of the GIJ-SRC Miss Communicator pageant will be coming off on 2nd July, 2021.
