The journey thus far

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the second semestet of the 2019/2020 academic year had to come to a halt; the same semester that election for a new SRC leadership was to take place.

This brought a lot of challenges at the student leadership level leading to the consideration of various means to restore an administration outside of the constitutionally mandated ballot voting process.

After series of meetings sometimes in the face of deadlocks, a decision was reached in line with articles 30 clauses 1 and 2 of the GIJ-SRC constitution together with the dean of students to set-up this 5-member committee to vett and appoint new leaders for for the 2019/2020 SRC administrative year.
