The Electoral commission of the Ghana institute of Journalism on Saturday September 5,2021 released the vetting results of the aspirants for the various SRC positions.
The commission indicates that out the four Presidential candidate who went through the vetting, only one candidate passed.
The Four Presidential candidates Dei-Tutu Edem, David Nana Appiah, Albert Kofi Konadu and Abdulai Saaka had 87.2%, 67.2%, 66.4% and 66% respectively.
According to the EC, based on their performance in the vetting, only Dei-Tutu Edem qualified to be voted for as SRC president.
The three disqualified aspirants has expressed thier displeasure in their disqualification, stating that, the EC did not give candid reasons for thier disqualification.
