Consultative meeting with dean of students and aspirants ongoing

 Currently ongoing is a meeting between the dean of students and aspirants of various SRC offices.

This has become necessary as the GIJ-SRC is yet to make a final roadmap on the restoration of a students union which hit a deadlock following the outbreak of COVID-19. 

There have been meetings in the past weeks between the dean and heads of the various SRC arms where a lot of proposals have come up on the how the SRC activities can be returned to normal since the constitution first demands elections. 

According to the dean of students affairs,Mr. David Dankwa Appawu , there is the need to take good care about the final decision made as they will result in future consequences that might be dire thus the need to be careful about the next step.

So far, the top decisions that have stood out according to the dean is that of the SRC having an interim committee that will work in the interim and organize elections at a set date or till the next elections or have a special vetting panel set to see to the election of new executives.
